Why is Corelle so expensive?

Earlier this week we were in a shopping mall close to Brisbane airport. One of the shops stocked a very large range of Corelle boxed sets (16 items) for the equivalent of £24.21. Similar sets are on sale at Amazon UK for £55.59. Why the difference?

Before you ask, no we did not bring any home as we did not have the space but, if there is a next time we definitely will
