Has anyone mentioned Tewkesbury yet? Huge park right on the doorstep plus easy walk to the riverbank from which you can walk for miles in either direction. Happy

So far we have 56 sites mentioned including the not so good ones.

Keep them coming in please, the good, the bad and the ugly, they will all be of help...Cool

Mrs M just reminded me about a CL we stayed at last year - Drake House Farm, near Clitheroe. A touch on the pricey side but well worth it for the views across to Pendle Hill and a 5 minute walk up (literally!) the lane from the site onto open moorland. Happy

Barnard Castle CC site has a huge on site field and enough immediate off site walks to keep everyone happy and its a great site next to a lovely town, within easy walking distance, with some dog friendly pubs - sorted!

Yellowcraigs, just outside of North Berwick would be another worth considering. Not sure if it has its own dog walk area but immediately out the gate and to the left there is access to woods and long stretch of beach.
