I have leather seats and as David says it is so much easier to move on the seats. I watched every hour of the clock last night it was the worst night i have had since leaving hospital, that must be a good sign can only get better from now. Looking forward to having the clips removed on Monday with the district nurse hope she is very carefull taking them out. The dreaded stairs is easy, going down is harder then going up but still easy. Haven't been out much due to the weather walking around the house is 3-4 steps then there is a sofa to go around. Hoping to go out on the pavement today aiming for around 100yards then back.

Did the walk 150yards it was great to go out. The white stocking or socks which ever you call them are on for 6 week's until my appointment on the 18th March most horrible things to wear.

Give him a stick, a few ribbons and a straw hat and he'll have the complete ensemble.

B as you know you have to do as they say.............but I was no angel, as I am a quick healer. A chap down the road from me was riding his Mountain Bike over Bromyard Downs 3 days after coming out of Hospital. He is from the regiment which might explain
things. I am sure you will know when you can get back behind the wheel!.  Winking

    Hi Brian

They seem to have taken their time for the clips to be removed? I am sure you will find the hip more comfortable now they have gone. The body will always tell you when you are being too ambitious in terms of walking.

    David,

Maybe that i had 32 of them is why they left it longer. I'm no expert i tried to see if i could lay on my operated leg and rolled onto it for 10 seconds couldn't stick the pain but at least i could get onto my side, will try again in a few days time. Just
    wish i could sleep.

    Brian

I had mine out two weeks after the op. I have to say I didn't count then but I don't think I had anywhere near as many as that. Mine looked like large staples!!! I was under strict instructions to sleep only on my back for six weeks although I was very tempted
to try and sleep on my non op side. I don't think I would have been able to shuffle onto the op side at that stage. What also made sleeping on my back worse was the fact I had an epidural and where they put that in spine was sore and numb for some time.
