Mondeo's Powershift or Manual.

At the moment I have a Sterling Europa 460 2011 Caravan  and a 2008 Ford Mondeo 2.0 tdci 140ps manual. I’m thinking of changing it to a 2011 Ford mondeo 2.0 tdci 163ps, but I’m not sure whether to go for a Manual or Automatic. My question is can anybody
tell which is best, Manual or  Automatic?.  Bearing in mind I’ve never driven a Automatic before.
