Site is almost full all come for the weekend. Price doesn't seem to matter.

All hardstanding pitches gone and a lot of the grass pitches are also full. That is the ones that are open.Sunny now but windy.

Our biggest issue there was erecting an awning as we found the ground to be very, very hard and even bent two of our heavy duty rock pegs.

We have just moved to Sandy Balls today.

We liked the Centenary Site when we went there a few years ago, but it's too expensive. We didn't manage to get the rock bottom prices here that some have had.....we paid £140 for the week - £20/night. But that gets us a guaranteed hardstanding and fully serviced.

The CC site equivalent would be about £29/night and, as they only have a few serviced piches, we couldn't book one anyway. Which meant that we would have to take our chances on getting even a h/s. Having had a few wet May months in the past, that meant risking having our booking cancelled last minute (especially as there are only two of us and the CC may not have considered us as important as a larger group!)

Sunny and warm forecast for today 20c. A lot weekenders went out on Sunday but a lot more came in. Quite full so price is not an issue. We are on a hardstanding and did not find the ground to hard to put an awning up.
