Max Outfit Length

Hi There,

Just working through the book, looking at some sites for next year.  I note that some have a "maximum outfit length"  many seem to be 11.6m, which if I shave the paint off our front bumper we just fall into but some are down to say 8.5m.  Why is this?  and
how strict are sites on enforcing this?

I am assuming that the roads around the site must be narrow or have I missed something/misinterpreted the book.

I would say that 8.5m would eliminate many units (I am assuming units are car + caravan).  I would not say our unit is excessivly large (Volvo V50 + Adria Adiva) but we are 11.6.

Looks like I will need to ellimative some great sites from our "to visit" list!

Cheers

Dan

    This might help https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/useful-information/how-to-book-a-site/length-of-outfit/

The length of outfit refers to the size of your caravan (including A frame but not including car length, i.e. shipping length) or motorhome.

I don't know what your caravan length is but I suspect you'll be OK?

As pointed out this refers to the overall length of you caravan/motorhome, the towing or towed vehicle will be parked by the side of your outfit as per site rules so your 8.6 mtr caravan will site nicely into the pitch along with your awning

It’s not the width of the roads on site but the length of the pitch. It refers to your caravan (or Motorhome) and it is to make sure it does not stick out into the roadway.
