Single beds in Bailey Cadiz

We have recently purchased a new Cadiz with single beds.  I like the single bed layout but my problem is l have the slightly smaller one and wonder if anyone has the same problem butt where my head lays it kind of dips down,  so after lifting up the mattress
l could see that the bed drops down at the top. So now my husband is going to cut a piece wood to fill in the gap. Sorry if l haven't explained myself well. Has anyone had the same problem.  Sue
