Isle of Wight offer

Hi. Does anyone have any first hand experience of the Isle of Wight ferry/site offer which regularly appears in the club magazine? We would like to go there at the beginning of September but are not sure whether to try one of the sites on offer, or play
safe and go to the club site at Southlands. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
