Broomfield Farm

Following our recent holiday I have been catching up with all the mail and have just read the June issue of the CC magazine.

By coincidence under the title of "The beautiful South " Steve Rowe, the author, visited Broomfield Farm which we also visited last Friday

We had noticed in the site description the warning not to follow the Sat Nav instructions so we did follow the rather complicated instructions, made worse by the very heavy  vegetation. We may have made a slight mistake going to the site but not on the return
journey. Without doubt this was the worst route to a CC site that I have ever used. The roads were narrow and would have been impossible to pass another vehicle. To make matters worse it would have been impossible to pull over due to the high banked verges.
We have been to many "off the beaten track" CLs but this was probably the worst.

Steve Rowe comments thus "You have to drive down a few short stretches of country lane to get to the site, but none so narrow as to cause any major problems"

I accept the narrowness is not a major problem IF they were One - Way . If we had met any one we would have been goosed.

I cannot believe the CC ever decided to build a site here

You have been warned!
