We are thinking of visiting Norfolk next September for the first time and like the look of the Norfolk Broads CC site, can anyone recommend it?   Thank you.

We went there 3 years ago and had a wonderful time. Can thoroughly recommend it. There is a bus from a stop 2 mins from the site that goes to Wroxham and on to Nrwich. Nice site and lots to see in the area. We hope to go back sometime.

Stayed there earlier this year. No hesitation in recommending. Just north of the site along the river, sorry can't recall exact location just now, you can go on am amazing boat trip into the reed beds, the little boat is called "The Electric Eel", so not to be missed!

It's called How Hill lesandang.  We went on the electric eel when we stayed at The Norfolk Broads site.  Wonderful trip with a very knowledgeable guide.

Thanks for all the replies, think we will give it a try as it's near the coast as well. We are a little worried about visiting Sandringham as we will have our elderly dog with us and fear the seasonal canine disease.

The best way to see The Broads is by boat. You cannot get to much of them by car but there are several pleasant walks that will get you close.

We stayed on this site last May, and really enjoyed it. There are many Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserves nearby, with very helpful wardens, and quite often, wonderful cakes and scones.

    Highly recommended.

The Norfolk Broads site is a lovely site, we have spent a lot of time here over the years. It is flat and the majority of the pitches are hard standing, there are a few on grass if you like to have grass beneath your feet. There are some nice walks from the site, along the river to How Hill nature reserve or into Ludham village via a quiet country lane where we often had lunch at the pub before returning to site. There is a bus stop, shop, cafe and pub all within a few minutes walk of the site.  The best way to see the Broads is by boat, either hire your own, or take one of the organised cruises along the river that depart from Wroxham and Potter Heigham.  You are also quite central for visiting the local villages and towns and it's not far to the coast.  There are some lovely sandy beaches in this part of Norfolk.  Copy and paste this link for a Caravan Channel review of the site  https://youtu.be/XKlZweSlMWU

We stayed there two years ago at the end of September, great site within easy reach of loads of great places. Nice pub fifteen minutes walk up the road and I can't remember the name but the wardens told us of a Chinese that delivers to the gates and we had
a great couple of meals from them. If you hire a boat do it mid week and you can haggle yourself a good deal.

Spent two fantastic weeks there in summer 2014. Lovely well kept site. toilet/shower block spotless and another toilet open when it is time for cleaning. There are a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches, but we stayed on a service pitch which was huge, car caravan and awning and still a few feet to spare all round.

Lots to do, towns, villages, NT places and of course the broads. we hired a small boar at the boatyard a few minutes walk from the site (discount for CC). North coast excellent, make sure you go on the seal trips. Great Yarmouth is a great day out as well.

If you want to find out about the Broads in advance the Broads Authority (Google it!) publish an annual newsheet called The Broadcaster, which gives lots of info about the Broads area and has a diary showing local events. The paper is issued about Easter
Time, but there is a downloadable copy on their website at about the same time. 2015 version is still on the site and has much info that will be the same for 2016.
