Flat Battery
Hi all,
I would like your advice on my flat battery situation, I had motor mover fitted 3 weeks ago which all worked fine after engineer had finished fitting and gave me a demonstration and watched as i tried out my new mover and all worked well. I have not used
the van since this demonstration and went to move my caravan accross my drive with movers but found battery to be flat, so plugged in mains cable for 3 days to charge battery up, but after the 3 days battery still flat. Took battery off van and check with
tester and its only reading 5 volts!, fitter did say i would need a 105 amp battery for the new movers but as i had a new 85amp battery this should do for a while. When the fitter installed the movers he advised me against him fitting the isolator switch as
it would be difficult to fit in battery compartment and it served no real purpose as the remote controller had an on/off switch which is all you need to isolate the power. My question is as there is no isolator switch could this cause my battery to drain even
though the mover had been swiched off by the remote contoller since fitting and testing happend?.
Appreciate your replies with this one.
(ps) I am going to buy a new 110amp battery in couple of weeks.
