Does anyone have an alko noseweight jockey wheel?

Hi there, we  just got an alko premium jockey wheel, we fitted it the other day acording to the instructions, all seemed well, when we loaded the van across the axles with the awning and poles etc, the nose weight read at 140kg ! without anything in it was
at 110kg. This cant be right... can it? I'm thinking the gauge is out, does anyone know how tho reset it?

we did try moving awning and stuff towards the back but it still read 110kg.

The van is a bailey olympus 546 and our car is a kia sedona (max nw is 100kg) and the van is 1500.
