I've got a wind out Flamma awning on my Rapido van conversion, I have tie down straps which I put over the bars. How can I stop the awning flapping around tho it's side bars dont come out straight and I dont have a middle bar just wondered if that would
help or if anyone has any ideas. Thanks

spounds like you need the Fiamma Rafter centre piece which keeps the awning taut....

doesn't stop the canvas flapping though BB, we have a centre rafter, it helps a bit but if the wind comes from the side the canvas still lifts and slaps off the arms. Its really annoying if it happens at night when you are asleepFrown we
have taken to winding the awning in if it looks like the wind is going to get up.

The continentals throw a tiedown over the top of the canvas and peg it down at a wide angle, this lessons the possability of the canvas getting damaged at the edges.

Fiamma do something called a Raffter Pro which is quite effective at stopping the flapping. The downside is that you need somewhere to store which in a van conversion might be an issue.
