Help with route to Dulverton Exmoor House

Can anyone help us with a caravan safe route from Smytham Manor caravan Park near Great Torrington on the A386to,  Dulverton Exmoor House? We were considering taking the A386/A39 to Barnstaple then the A361 south east to pick up the B3227 near South Moulton
which would meet up the CC recommended approach of A396. We aren't sure if that section of B3227 is suitable for caravans and could only talk to Relief Warden at Exmoor House and she wasn't entirely sure. Advice would be appreciated from those in the know!

    Earlier this year the A396 road was closed from the Tiverton Junction of the A361 up past the village of Cove, the diversion was on to B3227. This route was being given as the alternative route by the Exbridge Lakes site.
