Ive had cause to use the van to go to the NW of birmimgham and was recommended a pub to overnight at (the Wheatsheaf...)....i now have to visit the NE of brimingham and was looking for another different pub, i came across this website...

http://wildcamping.moonfruit.com/pub-stopovers/4563550207

which lists known pub who are happy to have you stay with them....most just for having a meal or a drink with them....

t opens into google maps (with an extra set of poi info) whichnis great as you can survey the approach access etc.....

i picked one, just phoned and they confirmed i was welcome....just park in a particular spot....and enjoy the meal and the kip.....

i looked for CL/CS on both clus but not enough open all year with good firm access after all this wet stuff.....so a nice hardstanding should do the job...

there are limited 'notes' with each entry, which are recommended to the website coordinator....this will usually give details based on the their experience, so a small car park might get mentioned.

personally, id just call the pub as a courtesy....they might have a function on pr something.....checking where to park and any (size) restrictions etc....

ive emailed the website to see if these 'poi' entries are available to put on a satnav...ill report back....

Have a look at www.wildcamping.co.uk. They have POI files for Wild Camping / Pub Stops / Accessible Toilets / Taps. These are all available in various formats for Sat Navs.
