Temporary Site at NEC

Did anyone else have the misfortune to spend Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday on the "shingled" area of the Temporary Site for the NEC Show?

 

Heavy rain overnight on both Monday and Tuesday turned parts of the site into a swamp and by Wednesday morning the area round the drinking water/ water disposal tank was ankle deep in mud. We watched some people having to traverse this area on their way
to the Show. Glad I brought my wellies with me!!

 

I gather that if you stayed for more than 2 nights you were put on to the paved car parks - much more acceptable at £30pn. Apart from this all the volunteers were very pleasant and helpful and it was disappointing that we had to put up with music festival
conditions.
