HI all,

Just buying first caravan in 20 years and currently drive a Peugeot 3008 (We all make mistakes in life sometimes!!!).. I have tried both local caravan centres and Halfords trying about 6 different makes of the clamp on/strap on wing mirror extension towing
mirrors but due to the inboard/outboard taper and the large front face radius on the Peugeots mirrors they slip off regardless of how tight you have the straps.

Does anyone else drive one of these 3008's and if so can you recommend a mirror make that actually stays on. Even the local caravan dealers are at a loss as to what make will stay attached.

I did see online the Smat Nord Weekender Mirrors that clip into the doorframe and then clamp to door bottom, having used these over 20 years ago with no problems on my Cavalier and Carlton of the time, they were great but currently can't find a UK distributor.
Again, can anyone advise a UK distributor or even if someone has 2 going 2nd hand willing to negotiate a deal for them.

cheers Mark

Just seen this post as I am now looking for my 4th set of towing mirrors and wondering if anyone has solved this issue with the shape of the Peugot 3008 mirrors?

Have you tried EMUK mirrors. They do a couple of generic fit but also vehicle specific models. These have a bracket of cast alloy that fits around the profile of the mirror like a glove, with a protective rubber strip to cushion the fit. Once fitted and set they can be taken off in seconds and require minimal if any tweaking when refitted.

You will have to get them from Germany and they are not cheap at about £110 for the pair but they are excellent. They feel engineered and designed to last forever.

I was unable to get EMUK mirrors when I lost one in Spain, so bought Repusel Lumax 3005 convex glass mirrors. They do specific car/model versions, but they are not cheap! IIRC, they were about €138 and that was before the Duties/VAT etc that are payable after Brexit.

I have a Peugeot 3008 and  have used Millenco extension mirrors for years. The scew fit to the top rum of the  car wing mirror and are very stable.
