I have a new Oven Grill, I switched it on as normal, my last van had a similar arrangement albeit the grill was separate. However all you can do is push the nob in turn it to about half way, press the igniter till it lights then wait a few seconds till the
thermocouple warms up and all is well. My new oven keeps shutting down, first time used in earnest Xmas Eve and I had to sit in front lighting again as it periodically went out. Have any other members had trouble with this model. I used it again today and
when I opened the door to check on the dinner and it went out again. Not as bad today but surely not correct!

As this is a gas issue I'm somewhat reluctant to offer any thoughts as there are clearly potential safety issues.

However, if it helps I had a similar problem with a Dometic TecTower oven on a previous 'van.  Memory is a bit hazy here as it was 8 years ago, but I have a distinct recollection of being told that the problem was that the seal around the oven was a bit
    too effective.

If I remember right the issue was that for safety reasons, if the oven can't draw in enough fresh air it switches off.  The solution was to use a craft knife to cut off about 0.5cm of seal from the bottom of each side.

You could maybe test this by keeping the over door very slightly ajar and seeing what happens, making sure you have good ventilation in the 'van whilst you're trying this.

Whether this is a safe/sensible solution I can't say, only that it worked in my case.  If nothing else it's an option you can discuss with a properly accredited engineer.

Thanks for your response, that makes sense not enough air for combustion, I will try leaving the door about a mm off closed to try. Our dealer is off now for festive hols however I will be on to them ASAP as we are going foreign in the new year.

We had a new Elddis and had problems with the grill that went out before we managed to cook anything. Apparently there was a flame failure device that kicked in because the fan inside the grill did not work and therefore too much heat made the grill go out. Under warranty we had the oven replaced after six attempts of the dealer trying to fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Went to Marquis to clear defects including oven problem. They adjusted the thermocouple into a hotter part of the flame, the end was glowing red however the oven burner is still not right. Fitting new thermocouple tomorrow. It requires the removal of the
oven sadly, 2 hour job approx., more tomorrow.

Replacement thermocouple fitted by Marquis, oven working fine now! It's a pain in the bum on a brand new appliance. What sort of Quality Control do Elddis have in Co Durham I wonder? My fresh water tank gauge had not been calibrated either, again this was
    sorted out by the dealer.
