Standard Radio/CD in Peugeot based Motorhome

Can anyone please help. Replaced vehicle battery and Radio/CD requires code input (I have the code). Is there any particular method of doing this? The manual has no information and attemps so far have failed to get past the 'WAIT' on screen display.
