Recently had a remote sensor fitted which fixed the high temp readings now the heating clicks on when at correct temp and then off again 5 seconds later it keeps doing this until I manually adjust the temp settings

It should keep clicking on and off once it has reached temperature, but not every 5 seconds. Ours is often only on for a minute or so, then off for 2 / 3 then on again. It all depends on the outside temperature and if the heating can replace heat faster
than it is being lost. If it is on the loosing side, it stays on for longer.

It depends where you have fitted the remote sensor ,if it is in a draught or a very cold spot then it will keep activating the heating
