Need help with towing weights!!!!

As mentioned before i am just new to caravaning and still don't know about the 85% towing weight  . I have a land rover Discovery td5 52 plate MGVWeight  2880KG and the caravan is an ELddis typhoon ex300 1997 1250kg how do i work out the 85% rule?
