Aldi Wet Heating VS Whale Underfloor Blown Heating
Just been a bit of a bore and been checking out the difference in power consumption between the Whale under floor blown air heating and the Aldi wet heating when run on gas and 12v. Conclusion is that if you want to be out rallying in the winter on 12v then steer well clear of the Whale under floor system. The whale system uses 1.8Amps and the Aldi uses .6 Amp, so a battery will last 3 times longer with the Aldi system, seems a good way of making us ralliers fork out the extra 2 to 3 grand between an Elddis Avante and an Affinity ! ! !
P.S. as a member of the Elddis Owners Club for nearly 20 yrs our next van will have to be an Elddis
