Heiki roof vent

As soon as any thing more than a soft breeze picks up, my Heiki roof vents in my Bessacar 540 sounds like Hurricane Katrina is blowing through them. Has any one else had this problem? I really miss the old 5 way vents that you could adjust according to which
way the wind is blowing. I am seriously thinking of replacing the smaller vents with the 5 way ones like I had in previous vans with no problems.
