A few years ago we took the grandchildren to Looe. We played frisbee in near darkness in bare feet on grass that was beginning to get wet with dew.

Going to more music gigs - and pushing past young people - 30/40 years younger - to get to the front.

I'm only 60 so can't add to the discussion otherwise I'd tell you that in a couple of weeks I'm putting a kayak in the sea near Berrynarbor, North Devon and off for a paddle....

At 53 I am a mere stripling, but I will also be putting my white water kayak in to cold but lively rivers in Devon & Wales over the winter to get some serious action in.

hopefully I am growing older disgracefully.

OH has now reached that age I'm a little younger. Not long ago we were in Saarburg, Germany. They have a cable car that takes you to the top of the 'Burg' once on top there is a 'Rodel Bahn' toboggan run, we went down it like a couple of kids.

We also went ice skating back in December teaching our Gkids to skate. Happy to say we never fell.Smile

I'm still waiting to be picked up by the police and slung in the back of a black maria for being D & D. Pehaps a couple more bottles would help?

I don't qualify for this thread yet because I'm still sixty-four but not for much longer! I'll be 65 in 24 days time!

We won't hold that against you Malc.

I may be almost 74 on the outside, but in my head I am only 25.

What "disgraceful deeds" have you been up to lately?

I have the woodwork on the house to paint so have got out my 3 section 36 foot ladder, and next I need my scaffold tower, just to keep OH happy.  She cannot bear to watch me go up the ladder to roof-top level.

    Lovely view from up there.

At nearly 70 we still keep doing stuff our parents would never consider doing in their time.  Our grand twins are only 2 so what we do is the norm for themHappy

Whilst playing on a swing at a local park a couple of weeks ago I was reflecting that I'm now older than my grandma was when she died and I'm doing stuff that would have been alien to her generation; not to mention what I wear.  Kiss

You know youre getting older when on a coach trip, instead of saying "are we nearly there yet?" you ask "how long to the next comfort stop?"
