Weights and ratios!

We have just bought a new caravan, one of the lightest we could find for our needs. The unlaiden weight is supposed to be 1029kg and the laiden weight 1200kg. Our car manual says the car's laiden weight is 1915kg and maximum train weight is 3115kg.

We packed the caravan and car for a weekend away, taking less food and clothes than normal, and then took the outfit to a weighbridge. The laiden caravan weighed in at 1380kg and the whole outfit together was 3040kg. We were shocked at it being so high considering
we had packed it fairly lightly by our normal standards! We also measured the noseweight, which came out at 90kg, and our car manual states it should be 75kg.

Would any caravaners out there be concerned by these figures? What action would you take to make the outfit more stable? On our return journey, we tried putting more weight in the car to get the caravan lighter... Is that all we can do?

Any advice would be much appreciated, as it would ease our minds to do the best we can to make it stable.
