ceiling water damage

Hi were new members who have just purchased a swift kontiki  1988 model  it has got a cloth like ceiling with a lot of dark water stains,  were wondering if experienced motorhomers know of the best way to get rid of it, or dye it ,or the best remedy,at the
low cost.  Thanks.
