SKINNY SPARE WHEEL

Does anyone know if you can still tow your caravan if you have to use your Skinny Spare Wheel on your car following a puncture? Understandably you would only tow it to a safe place, i.e. a layby and then sort out the repair. Is this legal?

    Skinny spare wheels are a very grey area regarding their legality, regardless of whether you are towing or not. Strictly speaking they do not comply with requirements and must therefore only be used in an emergency and with regard to the restrictions imposed
    (max. speed, distance driven, etc.). Some car manufacturers explicitly state that they are not permissible when towing. It such cases, the owner's handbook will tell you. If the handbook says nothing to that effect, the same restrictions apply as if you were
    not towing.
