Anyone thinking of coming up to East Yorkshire the last weekend in July, here's a couple of events:

Beverley Racecourse, HU17 8QZ - Far Horizons - 30th/31st July

Bring the family and enjoy a great day out where the sky will be filled with spectacular flying displays from around the world including breathtaking artisic creations and synchronised musical sport kite routines. Link to tickets (from £4) or pay on the

Veterans Weekend, East Park, Hull, HU8 8JU, Saturday 30th July, free entry

    That sounds lovely.  We won't be able to make it this year but will note it for next year. I take its an annual event?

    Hi Bakers2 - the Veterans event in East Park is usually an annual event - check nearer the time next year.

    The Amy Johnson events are to commerate the 75th anniversary of her death (whilst flying) so it may not be an annual event.

    Don't know about tge racecourse, but flown into Beverley airfield several times. Always very pleasant and a nice bacon sandwich Laughing

    Quite difficult to spot from the air though, being a grass strip.
