Access roads

I'm looking into either CL's or the C&CC equivalent, one of my worries is born from our hobby of walking.  We see a number of these site's in beautiful locations but heaven knows how you get a caravan there.

Is there a way other than Google earth to find out about access roads?

An OS 25000 EXPLORER map.  These distinguish between minor roads generally over or under 4m wide.  If you can't avoid an 'under 4m' road then Google streetview (if available) is really the only way of getting an idea of how viable the road is (passing places)   .... other than local knowledge of course.

Bing maps can be turned to Road maps/OS maps of various scales and Aerial/google earth view - gives you a good idea of where a CL is and you can follow the route from the directory on the map quite easily. Then you can see what the site is like - even if
it is a few years out of date.

If the site exists it will have been accessed by caravans, and HGVs during its construction. I can't imagine you'd be the first on site, CC. There's a novel name!

PS. I assume you are aware that CLs are restricted  to members only. No doubt you will join in due course.
