Hi Guys

Thinking of retiring the old table lamp in the awning and replacing with something like this  http://www.towsure.com/quest-serial-led-light  does anyone have any other ideas.

Thanks

Phil

I've also just bought a new light for the awning. Personally I'd find the light from a led strip like that one to be too harsh to be comfortable, so instead I went for an Outwell Sargas (LED pendant) to hang over the table.  Has a durable collapsible shade
and runs from a 12v plug-in transformer.  Won't light a whole awning but depends what you need I guess. Haven't used it yet but looks OK so far.

I agree with Bennett.   The LED lighting we have is sometimes a bit harsh.  We use a table lamp which we go from IKEA.  Very lightweight (it's plastic), very cheap (the bulb is more expensive!), and give of a nice strong light.  It I'd completely sealed,
so no problems with bugs lurking underneath the shade.

....just looked them up.  They are called LAMPAN.  For £2.95 each they are brilliant.  We only use one and with the strongest permittable energy saving light bulb,  it is really good.

You will find them somewhere on this page:http://m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/functional/10371/10732/
    - it's the 6th lamp down.

    Hope this helps.
