Having just read the recommendations regarding sites near Shrewsbury, fellow members may be interested in an ideal site which we have just stayed on for visiting these two centres (especially out of season when Cheltenham Racecourse club site is closed).
Briarfields Touring Park is on the outskirts of Cheltenham with mainly hardstand pitches and good facilities. Some road noise but we found it fine overnight. Especially good for motorhomes with bus stop outside, every 10/15 minutes between the two town/city
centres. Plenty of other places within easy reach eg Cotswolds, Forest of Dean etc. Also ideal if you want to stay with non-caravanning friends as there's a motel on site as well.
