White tape lifting on roof seams
Whilst cleaning the roof of my 1 year old Swift Challenger today prior to putting the cover on I noticed that the white tape that covers the seams on the roof, has lifted and 'bubbled up' in places. This wes obviously concerning as I have seen on the forum
cases of damp and water ingress in new caravans. I decided to rectify the problem with silicon which seemed to do the job but should I have contacted Swift or the supplier. I did not because I felt it was to much messing about for something that I could fix
myself but i was very surprised and anoyed that it should happen to a 1 year old caravan.
Could this be the reason for the damp that has been spoken about and should regular checks be made to check this and is this a design/manufacturing fault.
