Elddis Avante 574 nose weight near 100Kg
I am fairly new to caravanning and recently updated my Ace Jubilee to a 2012 Elddis Avante 574. I have found it really difficult to get the nose weight of the Elddis down to under 90Kg. This has only been achieved by changing the gas to a 6Kg light and keeping
the front locker empty apart from the gas. I have nothing in the storage under the front lounge seats to help get down to this and any additional weight is put under the fixed beds rear of the axle. This doesn't feel right to me and certainly wasn't a problem
on the Ace where I could easily get down to 70 to 75 and utilise the front lockers!! The caravan was purchased from a main dealer and was "as left the factory" equipment wise until the dealer kindly agreed to transfer the PowrTouch motor mover from the Ace
to the Elddis. This is fitted in front of the axle as is usual practice (I believe) but can be fitted to the rear of it. Does anyone know if this is worth having done and will it improve the high nose weight.
