Overwintering my motorhome

I am new to motorhoming.  I bought my first motorhome in May 2014, an Eldiss Accordo 125 so that my sister and I could live our dream.  being two ladies and not mechanically minded I would welcome some advice regarding overwintering.  I plan to use the van
periodically throughout the winter weather permitting.  I have read that the water system should be drained down including the hot water system and taps to be left open when not in use.  Is this something I would be able to do?  looking forward to hearing
some good advice from the experts!
