How many have fallen into the trap when your dealer says he will check with the manufacturer about replacement under warranty?  Certainly me, however having just booked my van in for its 2nd annual service I reported two warranty items, only to be told they
are not covered.  Well having studied my warranty book I cannot see how they are not!  So deciding to investigate further I stumbled on the SOGA. Apparently the onus is on the dealer and the warranty in no way affects your legal rights, so all this " I will
check with the manufacturer " is the dealers usual default statement and is just their way of ensuring they get paid for the work they do!!!!!!
