Pitch Allocation

My wife and I became suspicious that the larger/better pitches were being reserved for motorhomes.
We emailed the club about this and indeed it has been confirmed that sites do this to " ensure that the most appropriate pitch is allocated to suite the motorhome and the conditions".

The club appears to have lost sight of the fact that caravanners also also enjoy a little space to put up an awning and sit out. It is after all the Caravan Club. It quite rightly admits motorhomes members but should this be to the detriment of caravan members?. The club has referred to the size of some motorhomes. If some members wish to drive huge motorhomes it is clearly their choice and not for us to dictate but conversely we should not have to be allocated a lesser pitch to accommodate them. Perhaps there should be two sizes of piches, the large ones being available to all members at an additional cost, if all such pitches were full then large motorhomes could book two standard pitches.
