Fitting Alko Wheel Locks
I have read some of the previous discussions re the benefits of Alko wheellocks and have recently taken delivery of a single axle caravan which includes an Alko wheel lock. I didn't appreciate how precise you need to line up the wheel to accept the lock.
I have only fitted it twice to date but find it very challenging when space is short, such as on my driveway, even using a motor mover. I have yet to try to fit it when I have to level the caravan but imagine this could also be a problem. I used the jack
on one occasion but don't see that as a serious option especially in the rain. It occurs to me that it would make fitting easier if Alko provided a receiver on both sides of the van. Can any member offer any advice based on previous experience please?
