Bailey motorhome water tank

I've just bought an Approach 745 on a 13 Plate, and wondered how accurate the water gauge is so I filled the tank with a measured amount of water, via the internal filler point.



to my surprise after putting 70L in the tank the gauge showed 100% AND the tank was full.



given that its advertised as a 100L tank I've asked Baileys this week if they put smaller tanks in sometimes or if by filling internally it will only take 70L. I'm still waiting for a reply.



another thought is perhaps as the tanks have internal baffles could they have sealed the tank so that only 70% is being filled.



has anyone got any experience or ideas.
