Picked my van up from storage at the weekend and all is fine except that the fridge (Thetford N100 LCD) will not power up. I have cheched the supply voltage an all is fine. The LCD display is also showing no sign of life.  Any ideas ?

Brian

Always worth checking the simple things. It should be plugged in to a mains socket somewhere so try another appliance in the socket and check the fuse in the plug. There should also be a 12 volt supply so check all fuses. Does it work on gas or do you need
the panel illuminated to light on gas?

The display usually works on a 12 volt supply (and without that, it won't work on any other supply) so I'd check that first - is your battery flat?

I had a similar problem where fridge and alde system stopped working it was the "electronics" 5 amp fuse.

We have e swift so maybe called something else on different manufacturers

I have experienced a similar problem and it turned out to be the 12 volt supply fuse. If that fuse is ok would check try checking you have 240 volts to the incoming connections whatever that is, usally a 13 amp socket with fuse. Also check if you can your
battery voltage to ensure onboard battery is ok. Good luck.

Have had an intermittent problem with a Thetford N3000 fridge with a LCD display for years. Always after a period of storage (no 12V power going to fridge) and it would take some time to get it to switch on, then it would appear to be OK for weeks. It really would not switch on this time and I eventually traced the fault to the push button switch (a "low profile tactile switch") on the printed circuit board behind the front panel. I wonder how many of these electronics boards have had to be replaced due to this tiny switch failure.

Interesting comment thanks @DancingDave My fridge has not worked on 12v for the best part of 2 years. Haven't been too bothered about it because it always stays cold enough between sites. I don't think the switch is my problem but neverthe less I will have a fiddle.
