Do you prefer touring or staying?

Just reading on another discussion about booking and the problem that people cannot get a week on a site, and then the suggestion that they just move to another site for the weekend part. This made me wonder how many people do actually tour round and do
a couple of nights on each site rather than a week on one.  For us unless the site is very close (say 40miles or so)  we usually have a minimum of a 4 night stay and once we are on a site we stay for the holiday. If its a long run we do an overnight stop to
break the journey but  once we are there we stay put. Partly this is what we prefer and partly due to the cost of fuel.
