Securing your bike on site

Any tips on securing a bicycle to a caravan when onsite please.  On some sites chaining it to the fence doesnt seem very secure if there is a path directly behind so it would be better attached to the jockey wheel/hitch somehow but how do people keep it
upright and secure without bashing about on the caravan?
