Two units pitching together
Having recently enjoyed a three week break in Scotland in our Motorhome, we were pleased to be able to meet with my parents who also have a motorhome and were about to embark on a three week trip of their own.
We met at Barnard Castle, and once again came up against the rule of one part of the group arriving before the other, but not being able to "save" a space for them. A picth had been booked by both parties, and would be paid for by both parties.
I was introduced to caravan holidays by my parents and I am sure many others have been too. Surely it's not too much to ask the Club to allow families to be on adjacent pitches, if, when one party arrives there are two together and available. There are signs
up (quite rightly) about speed and child saftey, what about their saftey when they have to walk to another pitch when their parents can't see them, or they go to bed at 7pm, but parents would like to socialise for a little longer. We're not asking this so
we can make a noise later, or be disrepectful to fellow caravaners, we're asking it for practicality as much as anything.
Come on Caravan Club, move with the times, and members wishes and let an adjacent pitches be 'saved' for other members of a 'party'.
