Bad Back should I get van re-upholstered

Hello, I have a bad back and have a 2 berth 2004 caravan but am considering changing to a fixed bed. OR should I get all the cushions re-upholstered with new foam. I already use an expensive duvalay. The cushions just don't lay flat when put together and
no room as singles. Any help is appreciated, Thanks
