Milenco mirrors, flat or convex?

Who is using flats and who is using convex please?

I had a set of grand aero's that came with the van, but lost one on the motorway so give the spare one away and bought a set of flat Aero 2 mirrors. 

I can't work out if the view is just worse with the Aero 2 mirrors because they are smaller, or because the old grand Aero mirrors were perhaps convex (I don't know what they were!).

I want to get a set of grand aero's before we head off to France to maximize my rear views, so thought I would ask what people are using please?
