Pitch Pegs

Just got back from  a soggy holiday in Brighton, very nice clean site but i wondered why the Caravan Club bothers with the marker pegs on the pitches.

Not many were parked within a yard of the pegs some were nose in with the A-frame over the peg and one was parked across the pitch nowhere near the peg.If the parking isn't going to be monitered or perhaps explained to people that can't read is there any
point carrying on with pitch pegs?

I don't want to put the wardens in a position of being forced to act like Traffic wardens its just  a question.
