UV effect on Kampa Awnings

Has anyone had a problem with UV detreation on Kampa Porch Awnings were the Webbing tie down etc fray and break. My dealer and Kampa say uv degradation is not covered by the warrenty. Surely any awning should be useable in sunlight and not deteriorate due to noemal use. I feel under the sale of goods act this make the awning not fit for purpose??
