We traveled home from Hillhead earlier today using the M5 from Exeter to Bristol. Bearing in mind the recent coverage on the media regarding caravan's overturning I was amazed at the blatant disregard to the 60mph speed limit. I was traveling at a steady
55/60 mph most of the way and only once overtook another caravan.Due to the time of year there were numerous caravans on their way North and most overtook me at an estimated 65/70mph. One outfit being towed by a Range Rover went past at an estimated 70/75
mph and just aheda of me the inevitable happened! He started snaking from side to side. Recognizing the symptons I slowed down, activated my hazard lights and waved down passing cars as a warning. Eventually, the outfit was able to regain control much to my
surprise. Did this faze the driver? Not on your nelly! Having regained control off he went again at a similar speed. Won't these idiots ever learn? Not only are they putting their own lives at risk but other road users also. Hopefully, he was not a CC member
or even worse, a contributor to CT!!!
