Hawes on-site fishing

Only a couple of weeks to our next week away starting with a couple of nights at Kendal before moving on to Hawes.

I know the site is at the side of the river and fishing permits are on sale at the site office and my husband is an angler. We have stayed at other, non CC, sites that advertised fishing but we're disappointed with access, overhanging branches etc.  anyone know what it's like at Hawes?
