Yorshire Dales/York sites

Hi, we are considering a change from our usual haunts (Devon/Cornwall) which are very convenient for us and moving further afield to the North next year. Can anyone give me useful info on the Hawes site, and either of the York sites please. We are keen on
a quiet location if possible, does the central York site being so near to the city fit this bill?
