Problems with gas supply on caravan.

Whilst on holiday last August in the South of France,temperature in the mid 30s we had problems using the gas cooker and oven on our caravan..Sometimes no gas appeared to be getting to the cooker.We use Calor butane bottles.As soon as we drove further up through France with lower temperature the problem went away.Has anyone else experienced similar problems?.Any help gratefully received as We are going back again this summer.
